Sumner A. Bourne

Education: B.S. University of Illinois, J.D. (magna cum laude) Boston University School of Law.

Experience: Frequent lecturer on bankruptcy and lending issues, including for the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Family Support Enforcement Association, the National Business Institute and the office of the Illinois Attorney General. Mr. Bourne has published articles on bankruptcy and lending in Illinois State Bar Association publications and the Preventive Law Reporter. He has handled in excess of a thousand bankruptcy cases, and has handled bankruptcy litigation in many Illinois courts including before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Gary T. Rafool

Education: B.S. Bradley University, J.D. Stetson University School of Law.

Experience: Frequent lecturer and author on bankruptcy and commercial lending issues. Vice Chair, Illinois State Bar Association Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy Law Section Council, past Chair, Illinois State Bar Association Business Advice and Financial Planning Section Counsel. Lead counsel in several major corporate Chapter 11 business cases, has litigated numerous bankruptcy cases and appeals. Mr. Rafool is also currently a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee.
